Hobbies

Some people might say racing is my hobby.  Well, it doesn't feel like a hobby after all the work you put into the race cars.  It started off as a hobby.  For myself now I consider it a part time night job.  I know it's worth it.  The results show on the track!

Fishing

One of my favorite hobbies is fishing.  My Dad Jeff & I are usually out on the lake Saturdays from sun up til sun down in the summer.  Were not out fishing for for the finicky Walleys. Were out fishing for Northern Pike & Bass.  The fish with bad attitudes! LOL.  Over the past few summers we have caught some nice Pike & Large Mouth Bass.  So far the biggest Pikes were close to 40", not to bad for our local lakes.   My dad caught a Large Mouth Bass 20 1/4" long.  What a fight!

On-Line Racing

My other hobby is On-Line Racing during the winter.  The pc game we use is Nascar Racing 2003 Season.  By far the most realistic sim/game I have played.  The amount of adjustments you can make to the chassis is unreal.  The physics almost feel real. Lap times are close to the real tracks lap times.  It's alot more fun racing on-line against real drivers than the computer (AI) cars.

I have entered myself into the On-Line Daytona 500 on January 3'rd 2010.  There are 175 drivers that have signed up for the 38 starting positions.  The 2 fastest in qualifying are locked in.  The remaining spots are filled using qualifying races & a last chance race.  If I make it in (big if) the race will take between 3-4 hours to complete.  Wish me luck!

UPDATE:  Well, I made it into the On-line Daytona 500 race.  I made it in through 1 of the LCQ races.  I was just riding around in the top 20.  Staying out of trouble.  On about lap 76 on a restart I lost 4'th gear.  Race over, BUMMER!  But I have to give a big thanks to the guys over at DEI for putting the race together.
