My racing started about the age of 11. We lived in North Dakota. My dad bought me a 1/10'th scale RC sprintcar. We headed down to the mall in Grand Forks to race Wed nights. It took me a little while before I got my first win. Once that happened, I ended up winning a lot. I raced RC cars all the way until, I was 26. This is a lot of years racing with, a lot of wins. I have 80 first place trophies and 11 first place ribbons. Those are only given out at the specials. My win tally is somewhere well over 100.
My 1'st ride!
I started my dirt track racing in the summer of 1992, 1 year after graduating high school. Finishing 12'th in the standings my rookie year. As the years went on, I kept getting a little better. It wasn't until 1996 when I got my 1'st feature win. Adding 2 more that same summer at Proctor Speedway in the pure stock class. I only drove the car for 4 races, the other finish was a 2'nd. Winning my next feature in the summer of 1999. Along with a pure stock track championship at Proctor co-driving with my brother Bryant.
In 2002, I won a street stock track championship at Superior Speedway. I ended up the year with about 7 heat and 4 feature wins. Also, at Superior, I won the Miller Light Norhern Nationals Invitational race at the end of the year.
At this time, I have 17 feature wins. I remember my grandpa and uncle telling me after I won my first feature it was probably my last. After they won there 1'st features they weren't able to get another win. Well, hopefully, I can keep proving them wrong and add some more wins!
